Well, we're coming to an end here, and let me tell you, after clearing out *nine* large rooms of furniture (not to mention every hallway and nook and cranny) on Tuesday, getting the 60 artisans all set up Wednesday night, and opening the doors to customers Thursday morning, I haven't had a second to update the details! It has just been crazy insane. But let me tell you...this show is amazing. Many customers have told us this is the best show they have seen around, and I have to say that it is definitely our BIGGEST and BEST so far. I don't think people have any idea how much we can get in here and how fabulous everything is until they come. So if you haven't made it over, you must! Thanks to extraordinary artisans and vendors, we are having a blast enjoying all of the senses as we get ready for the holidays.
You won't want to miss our last day...bring your Christmas shopping list so that you're ready to go.
Just a couple of my favorites:
*Scoop your own bath salts. How fun! Grab a beautiful glass jar or zipper bag and fill 'er up. Use one scent or as many as you want to creat a beautiful gift...lemon, grapefruit, lime, orange, peppermint, lavender, cinnamon (all with pure essential oils), oatmeal, milk & honey, brown sugar & fig, vanilla, and cucumber melon. Just $2.50 - $9.50.
*Something for the boys!!! Individually handcrafted right here in Utah are wooden toys (airplanes, trucks, cars, and trains) and rubberband guns. Awesome prices too...$5 to $20.
*Job charts and calendars...how do I even describe these? They are fabulous! Magnetic bottom portion with vinyl grids, ready for your dry erase marker. Perfect because you can change the names and chores whenever you need to! The top portion has darling stitchery. All in a fabulous, chunky, handcrafted frame. Seriously a steal at $95.
*Nursing aprons. I'll admit I thought the idea at the beginning was a little, I don't know, weird-? Then I saw people using them and though they were okay. Then I tried one with my 3-month-old while I was working the show, and let me tell you, I'm hooked! Adjustable neckstrap (baby can't hit or kick it off), rounded boning at the top (so you and baby can see each other, but no one else can see in), and my favorite...not a corner terry cloth for spit up like many brands have, but an actual little washcloth attached to the inside with cute ric-rac that snaps to the apron. So no washing the entire apron every time you wipe baby's chin...just toss the washcloth in the laundry! To top it off, she uses dang cute fabric. I'm sold! Only $35 for these handmade beauties.
*Bows, bows, bows...and endless variety to choose from! Same with headbands and other accessories.
*Jewelry, jewelry, jewelry.
*Bags, bags, bags...everything you could imagine.
*Clothes, clothes, clothes...from pettiskirts (the type you seen in children's boutiques for $80!), to one of a kind skirts, tops, and outfits, to Puddle Jumpers for little kiddos. Not just clothes for kids though...LOTS for women too. Including designer jeans and hip and inexpensive shoes.
*The cutest binkie clips I've ever seen. Classy-not cheesey.
*Funky children's stuffed chairs with a tiny ottoman. You may have seen them for $150 in children's boutiques, but only $99 here.
*Baby wipe cases. I may have never seen such a stylin' item. They look like a clutch you could take out on the town, and wow....so many fabrics to choose from. Matching burp cloths to boot.
*Locker magnet boards. Cool.
*These stunning pieced fabric wall hangings, framed and ready to go. Just gorgeous.
*ONEiTY PJs...boys sets and girls PJ dresses that come with a matching bag and bear for $16!!! And the purchase of one set buys an article of children's clothing for the Utah Road Home Homeless Shelter. How cool is that? An amazing company who pays it forward. They have other beautiful clothing too...
*Sarah Jane's amazing children's artwork. It will get you all sentimental and nostalgic feeling...you've gotta see it.
So there you have it-just a few of my faves. Come on over and see it all.
And thanks to Your Heart Out for checking us out again. :)

Not Just For Christmas Shopping. Let's Talk Thanksgiving...
Or at least, let's talk about food, in the spirit of Thanksgiving. Yes, food, and the abundance of it.
Divine specialty foods and treats will include large jars of Paquito de Salsa's homemade salsa with and "attitude", and Cathy's amazing Sweets By Season...get ready...handmade caramels in a huge variety-vanilla, praline pecan, chocolate, candy cane, eggnog, and my favorite, licorice, plus truffles, fudge, and caramel corn. Sooo scrumptious! Then we have chocolate bread, almond poppy seed bread, and of course from Sarah's bakery..."Sarah Bread"-amazingly soft loaves of whole wheat goodness, cinnamon swirl bread (yipee! It's so good that at the last show, one 12-year-old came in and spent his own money on his own loaf of Sarah's cinnamon bread.). Plus she'll have her chocolate sauce and granola. And then from Janielou...the most beautiful, tasty coconut cupcakes you've ever seen. We're crossing our fingers for her lemon frosted sugar cookies too...
Some of you might feel guilty shopping when you should be home making dinner, but no worries! Crystal will have her quarts of chicken noodle soup and fresh rolls from scratch that you can swoop home to the kitchen table...hustle though-these go fast! And for the first time, she will have her roll dough, formed and frozen, ready for you to rise and pop in your oven for Thanksgiving dinner!
Bandango's "most delicious cheeseball mixes ever" and citrus oils and vinegar are perfect for delicious gifts and holiday entertaining. Add brownie mix jars to that list too.

Artisans Spotlight
Susan of Salt Lake's avenues will be selling her handcrafted and eco-friendly wares at our show...funky fabric grocery and shopping bags and stunning minky-lined baby quilts are just the beginning. Get a sneak peek of a few of her "Freshly Picked" goodies here!
Jewelry lover? You'll have a great variety of styles of choose from. Bibelot specializes in baby bracelets and "mommy and me" jewels. If you're a fan of gems and stones like turquoise and coral, you'll love jamjewelry and Karen Daniel's artistry. And you will not beat the prices on freshwater pearl necklaces, earrings, and bracelets from The Fresh Pearl.
My favorite candles are hand poured by Sara of BlueLily Candles...her scents are divine! Her candles are made with soy wax, which burns cleaner-love that! We love her HUGE bags of holiday gumballs too...such a fun little gift. I filled a decorative Christmas bowl last year, and just left them out for fun (and for me, and for special bribes for little mouths). Her candles and gumballs are the perfect start to a gift basket. Sara also sews funky hostess aprons that are perfect for holiday baking and entertaining and make an awesome gift! If you can pull it off (like both Sara and my sister-in-law can), tie it over a skirt for everyday wear. So hip!
Another favorite is Natallee's quiet books. They were one of the top sellers at our last holiday show. Everyone said they were the best quiet books they had ever seen. And her new clever accessory is "Shoe Spices", found here.

Added artist and vendor...
Portrait artist, Janice Patterson, will be joining our 2007 holiday show. How fun is that? Come sit for her and have your portrait (or your child's) done. You can also bring a photo, or she can take one of you on site and then use it to recreate your portrait to be mailed out later. Composite portraits are also possible. She's a "people" person, but can also do a variety of animal portraits. What a wonderful keepsake or gift!
Prices: Pencil --per head--$40.00 and Pastel --per head--$60.00. 3/4 and full length will be more. Discounts for large groups.
Sizes: Usually 11 X 14 or 14X17, but can be done in any size (or shape) requested.
And for the men...PillowTies. Yes, PillowTies. These are an absolute riot! Beautiful ties that serve a purpose! What purpose you ask? They are for the overworked businessman, the stayed-out-too-late-Saturday-night church-goer, and the early-to-rise missionary. You can actually "blow up" an inner bladder (I know, lovely) with air to create a comfy pillow. But did I mention they're stylin'? And for 20 bucks...hey, can't beat that. Come check them out!
