and congratulations to Melwel who said, "My dog Baby...is a psycho maltese, and we LOVE her. She is definitely part of the fam" I hope she wants to be Max for Halloween, bacause you are the lucky winner of an adorable costume!
You can pick up your prizes at the show, just introduce yourself at the registers.
(Warning: I have never owned, or lived with, a dog in my life.)
This weekend's contest if for the dogs. Literally. We have some fun vendors for our furry friends at our SoDa Row Show, and you may be able to get a sampling of what they have to offer- for free!
First up is Woof Ware: Dawn Sontag makes hip, funarific, adjustable collars and leads (is a lead like a leash?) with the highest quality heavy duty nylon webbing, bright, fabulous, stain resistant polyester grosgrain and woven ribbons, beefy contoured “Weinerlock” buckles and cast nickel D-rings, and...UV resistant, outdoor hard-core polyester thread. They are all handmade with superior craftsmanship, by Dawn, in her home in Sandy. All of her components are made in America.
Dawn is giving away the dog collar and matching lead shown in the picture. It fits a large dog (neck size 14"-25" / about 50 - 100 lb. dog) Golden Retriever, Boxers, Labs, German Shepards etc... This is her "Funky Dot" pattern, in her most popular color (Chocolate with Lemon Grass Dots). She took this picture of her dog Sunny this morning. She says Sunny will sit pretty for cheese any day. I didn't know dogs eat cheese! Or is that dog slang for something else?
At Oh Sweet Sadie! Woof Ware will have collars in 4 sizes: $8 - $18 and matching leashes in 3 sizes: $10 - $18.
Next is No More Nekkid Dogs: Jolene Miller got started making jammies and shirts for her Chinese Crested puppies who require clothing in the winter to keep them warm, and in the spring while tanning their bodies slowly so they don't get sunburned. (WTH?) She noticed how they would prance around in whatever she made. One of her other dogs, Lizzy, would sit by her machine and wait for her to get done with what she was making so she could try it on. She loved them (Lizzy, that is.). They make her feel special. (I am totally taking Jolene's word for it.)
That is why she started No More Nekkid Dogs. She wanted to share these items with you and your lovies (doggies). She wants everyone else to experience the love of their dogs the way she does when she puts a new outfit on them or buys something special just for them.
Jolene has the greatest collection of Halloween costumes! She is giving away one of her most popular- 'Max' from Where the Wild Things Are! Made from all white fleece in the jammie style, she has also added a furry tail on the rear. This is what my little boy is going to be for Halloween this year, too! I wonder if he could wear a costume made for a dog??
Contest: Everyone who leaves a comment telling us about the dog in your life is entered. The winner will be announced Monday, September 14th when the next contest will go up. Woof! (Good Luck in dog.)
