Amish Country

The winner of our Amish Country giveaway is from a facebook comment:  JR Hults Parker who said, "would LOVE to win that!"  Congratulations!  You can pick up your beautiful black "pull-out" trash bin cabinet at the show next week.  Just intoduce yourself at the register.
Mary and Priscilla, owners of Amish Country, were raised near several Amish communities in northern New York and gained an appreciation for the lifestyle and artistry of the people.  The recently opened a store, Amish Country, on 8721 South State Street, Sandy, Utah (right next to Quilts Etc.)

There are a couple things I love about the products they sell.  First, they are beautiful wood pieces, crafted by hand, without the use of electricity or other modern conveniences. (seriously.)  Knowing that, you can really appreciate the work that goes into every piece they make.  Second, Mary and Priscilla deal directly with the families in Lancaster Country, Pennsylvania to bring their work directly to our customers.  When you buy something from Amish Country, you are not only getting the highest quality workmanship, you are also helping to support a lifestyle.  And the thing I love most about Amish Country is they sell this...

Doesn't that just crack you up?  The irony of the Amish making these toys just kills me.

Amish Country is giving away this beautiful black "pull-out" trash bin cabinet valued at $199.99.  This solid pine cabinet is handcrafted by our Amish friend Aquilla. It is painted, distressed and glazed by his son David.  (They took the pictures at their home... see the horse and buggy in the background?) Every comment will be entered into the drawing.  The winner will be announced tomorrow when the next contest is posted.  Good luck!
